Focus groups are great for receiving quantitative feedback about an organisation or an issue in the workplace. Typically, the feedback is recorded on a flipchart in person or just notes if online. Followed by overall feedback or a report, depending of what the client prefers.
ALSs are great for supporting staff or managers to identify key actions through peer questioning about an issue; with a facilitator. The participants conclude with their own list of actions. You can have any number from at least 3 -8 people over a day. Usually in sets of 40 minutes each person. This can be done face to face or online.
I have facilitated 100s of focus groups and various other forums over the last 30+ years.
This is very popular right now. Improving the engagement of staff by providing 'safe' space for them to speak, share ideas and feedback to the organisation is essential. We can train your senior executives, HR team and others on how to set up ERGs - the options to consider; examples of good practice and some of the pitfalls.
I take examples from many of the world's best organisations but also from smaller companies and institutions. This allows the attendees to identify the key similarities and how to apply them in your own context. This training can be tailored for senior leaders implementing strategic changes or for those having to deliver great leadership. We can also incorporate your principles, practices and even your scripts into the training. It can also include role playing and how to respond to various scenarios.
This is for Chairs and Board or Trustee member who would like to better understand your strategic responsibilities; plus a better understanding of how these issues can affect your organisation; plus how to improve the organisation's strategic approach. The other key area is what information you need reported, including diversity data and KPIs so you can see trends and truly hold the Executives to account.
I spent 6 years on the Board of Waltham Forest NHS PCT and the last 8 years as a Committee Member of the Audit & Risk Committee at Newlon HA.
